MBS was among the first business schools to be established in Europe. Since the School’s founding in 1965 we have produced many of the world’s business leaders and educators. In 2004, following the merger of The Victoria University of Manchester and UMIST, we became the largest campus based business school in the UK.
Excellence is at the heart of what we do. The 2008 Research Assessment Exercise judged 60% of the MBS research output as either world-leading or of international standard; the results placed MBS at number one in the UK in terms of research power.
