About us
The MBS Library service is part of the John Rylands University Library - which provides library services for the whole of the University of Manchester.
Our aim is to provide you with a pleasant and relaxed study environment, together with access to business information sources of the highest quality. We will also provide you with a wide variety of support services, which will enable you to easily access, and make best use of, our information sources (both printed & electronic).
The MBS Library service operates from two different locations on campus:
The Eddie Davies Library
Specialist postgraduate facility located on the 3rd Floor of MBS West - Facilities include:
- Modern, climate controlled environment providing a comfortable & relaxed study atmosphere.
- Wireless internet access at all study points; also dedicated public access PCs & printing facilities linked into MBS network.
- Specialist collections of business & management books / journals, market research reports and statistical data.
- Research archive of company annual reports, academic journals and statistical data (dating back to the 1950s).
- Extended term time opening hours.
- Group seminar rooms with AV facilities.
The Precinct Library
Located in the University of Manchester's Precinct Centre (on Oxford Road). The Precinct Library supports the teaching, learning and research activities of the MBS community - Facilities include:
- Modern multi-level study environment providing individual study spaces for up to 250 students.
- Access to University of Manchester networked PCs, printing & scanning facilities and wireless hotspots.
- Specialist collections of business & management book stock and academic journals.
- Group seminar rooms with AV facilities.
