Biography
Prior to his appointment in CAIR, MAFG, Christos held joint positions as a Teaching and Research Fellow in the University of Wales at Bangor and Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the University of Valencia (Spain). While undertaking his PhD (Wales), he was a Pre-Doctoral Research Fellow in the University of Valencia and at the Autonoma University of Madrid, as part of the team on the European Commission Research Project 'Harmonia'. This project analysed issues surrounding the harminisation of the financial market and accounting regulations across the European Union. He also holds an Mphil in Financial Econometrics both from the manchester school of management.

Christos's research interests fall at the interface of accounting and finance, including how accounting information can be used for the valuation of listed companies, accounting conservatism, and the interconnection between accounting and economic issues. Current/ongoing areas of research include: Corporate Governance, Accounting and Taxation, and Issues relative to Methodological Developments in Financial Accounting. Christos's main research projects have involved EU countries and the USA, though he also has an interest on emerging markets especially regarding international finance and macroeconomics. Christos is a part of the research group Methodological and Empirical Advances in Financial Analysis (MEAFA).
