Biography
Naoko Komori joined the CAIR in September 2005, having completed her PhD at Sheffield University Management School. She previously held a position as an associate professor in the Faculty of Economics at the University of Wakayama in Japan. There she developed links with the Japan Accounting Association and the Japan Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She also holds an MBA from the University of Kobe in Japan.
Naoko's research interests currently focus on: the development of accounting and auditing in non-Anglo-Saxon contexts; the changing status of auditing in Japan and its effects on corporate governance and accountability processes; the relationship of women and accounting; processes of globalisation within the field of accountancy in Japan; qualitative research methods in accounting.
