Irene Roele specialises in strategy work with senior leadership teams. She has excellent process facilitation skills, having studied process consulting and change at the Tavistock Institute, as well as domain knowledge and the valuable combination of academic rigour and business experience. Her fifteen years of professional experience, working with major UK retailers and in artists’ management, and her subsequent work with senior executives in both public and private sectors, have given her a thorough understanding of the challenges and organisational environment that clients face. Irene has introduced innovative techniques such as Open Space Technology, and regularly delivers programmes that blend traditional and virtual learning approaches. Her interventions focus on experiential learning, enabling participants to use what they learn back at the workplace and developing the skills of strategic thinking and reflective practice.

Irene is the strategy lead within the MBS Executive Development Centre and on the Global Executive MBA. She contributes to the Advanced Management Achievement programme and other executive MSc programmes. Clients have included ICBC, BAE systems, Royal College of Defence Studies, United Utilities, ITV, BDP (Building Design Partnership), Mitie, Thales, Tesco, BP, Manchester Airport Group, ARC (Academic Registrars’ Council), Manchester Central and South Manchester Clinical Commissioning Group.
