Dr Roman Kislov is a Research Fellow in the National Institute for Health Research Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (NIHR CLAHRC) Greater Manchester - a large-scale knowledge mobilisation initiative bringing together producers and users of applied health research. He conducts qualitative research on the processes of knowledge mobilisation, with a particular interest in boundary phenomena, organisational learning and practice-based approaches. After qualifying in medicine in 2003, Roman worked as a doctor for a gold mining company in Central Asia for four years, combining clinical work with a managerial post. He holds an MSc in Healthcare Management and a PhD in Business and Management (both from Manchester Business School). Roman's doctoral thesis explored multiprofessional and multi-organisational communities of practice emerging in the process of healthcare collaboration.
