Biography

As for November 2013, Veronica is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Enterprise and Sustainability, in the Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS). She holds a PhD in Chemistry and a PG Certificate in Higher Education Enterprise from The University of Manchester, a MSc in Physical Bio-Inorganic Chemistry from Leiden University in The Netherlands and, a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry) from the University of Valencia in Spain.

Veronica’s experience includes technology development in collaboration with universities and industrial partners. She worked for 5 years as Research Associate at the Organic Materials Innovation Centre (OMIC) based at the University of Manchester. Veronica also has experience of technology development in industry. After a period of consultancy forNanoco Technologies Ltd, in 2009 she joint the company full-time as Senior Scientist. She worked on the development of electronic products (PVs, LEDs) based on Cadmium-Free Quantum Dots (CFQDs) materials. She pioneered the first large area flexible CFQDs films for displays and lighting applications.
