We accept a wide range of qualifications from across the world. Details of our standard offers for the most popular qualifications are included in the table below. Qualification

Entry requirement for all Alliance MBS full-time degree courses except BSc Accounting

Entry requirement for BSc Accounting

GCSE or equivalent

GCSE at Grade B in Maths and English Language (you will require a Grade 6 in the newly reformed GCSEs in England.) (Applied Maths e.g. WJEC Mathematics - Numeracy is not accepted).

GCSE at Grade A in Maths (you will require a Grade 7 in the newly reformed GCSEs in England) plus GCSE at Grade B in English Language (you will require a Grade 6 in the newly reformed GCSEs in England.) Applied Maths e.g. WJEC Mathematics - Numeracy is not accepted.

GCE A-level

Grades AAB. General Studies is normally accepted if one of four A-levels passed in the same sitting. Critical Thinking is not accepted. Three AS-Levels accepted in place of one A-Level if all taken in Year 13.

Grades AAA. General Studies is normally accepted if one of four A-levels passed in the same sitting. Critical Thinking is not accepted. Three AS-Levels accepted in place of one A-Level if all taken in Year 13.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

33 points overall with 6,6,5 in Higher Level subjects plus no less than 5 for Standard Level Maths and English / English Language & Literature. Maths Studies and English Literature are not accepted.

35 points overall with 6,6,6 in Higher Level subjects plus no less than 6 for Standard Level Maths and 5 for Standard Level English / English Language & Literature. Maths Studies and English Literature are not accepted.

BTEC Extended Diploma (formerly the BTEC National Diploma)

A minimum of 100 credits awarded at Distinction, 70 at Merit and the remaining 10 credits at Pass or above

BTEC Level 3 Diploma

AAB equivalent: Grade A at A level plus the BTEC Diploma with a minimum of 60 credits awarded at Distinction, 50 credits at Merit and 10 credits at Pass.

BTEC Subsidiary Diploma

AAB: Grades AA at A level, plus the BTEC Diploma with a minimum of 50 credits awarded at Merit and the remaining 10 credits at Pass 
Or: Grades AB at A level, plus the BTEC Subsidiary Diploma with a minimum of 50 credits awarded at Distinction and the remaining 10 credits at Merit

A minimum of 150 credits awarded at Distinction and the remaining 30 credits at Merit

BTEC Level 3 Diploma

Grade A at A level plus the BTEC Diploma with a minimum of 100 credits awarded at Distinction and the remaining 20 credits at Merit.


BTEC Subsidiary Diploma

AAA: Grades AA at A level, plus the BTEC Subsidiary Diploma with a minimum of 50 credits awarded at Distinction and the remaining 10 credits at Merit

Access to Higher Education

60 credits are required with 45 credits at level 3. Of those at level 3, a minimum of 30 credits with distinction and 15 credits with merit

How to apply

All applications to full-time degree courses must be made online at www.ucas.com. You can apply to UCAS from 1 September each year for entry the following September. The closing date is 15 January for Home/EU applicants. The closing date for international students' applications is 30 June, however it is important to apply as soon as possible as some courses become full quickly.
