Alliance Manchester Business School has been awarded a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) to work with Stockport based Joineryworkshop.com Ltd on a 30 month project worth almost £175,000. It was awarded by government body Innovate UK to design, develop and embed a data driven business model and management information framework which will support the company’s strategic vision of expansion.
The company Joineryworkshop.com has recently purchased a new building which will nearly triple their workspace. Their major plans for expansion and the KTP supported by Alliance Manchester Business School is an integral part of their growth strategy.

Joineryworkshop.com is a nationwide company dedicated to sympathetic preservation alteration and restoration of the carpentry/joinery work in period property, conservation areas and listed buildings for over 15 years, specialising in sash windows. Offering a complete service from design, manufacturing through to full installation and liaison with conservation officers to ensure compliance. Skilled craftsmen manufacture bespoke joinery and are able to replicate period features such as sash and casement windows to individual specifications using the finest quality timber. The company aims to reinstate or preserve customer’s homes period looks whilst raising them to modern standards of draught proofing, warmth and energy efficiency.

As the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) celebrates its 40th anniversary, the University of Manchester joined eight North West universities and Innovate UK to showcase KTP’s and academic and industrial collaborations across the region at an event on 4 November.
