Why did you choose Alliance MBS?

I chose Alliance MBS because of the world-known reputation of the University and the highly recognised Business Psychology course.

How did you fund your MSc?

I paid the tuition fees from my personal savings and the living costs from a student loan from the German government called BAFöG.

What were the top 3 highlights of your course?

1. The career workshops which were run by practitioners with established careers as Business Psychologists.

2. Elinor O'Connor, one of my lecturers, gave us an informal overview of her career path in one of our lectures. Her insights and advice are still influencing me today.

3. Handing in my dissertation!

How has your career developed since graduating?

I had my ups and downs as I'm sure everyone has. I can now finally say that I have found my place. What really boosts my career experience is what I call my ‘4 hours start-up’. I work as a part-time contractor on several different projects which I can choose according to my interests. At the same time, my regular full-time job gives all the security I need for the moment. This gives me a lot of flexibility, fulfilment and creativity in my career.

What advice would you give to those considering the MSc Business Psychology course?

Be open to learn and study areas that you haven't discovered before. Never underestimate the research area that you choose for your dissertation. Choose it wisely. It should be a topic that keeps you burning for several months and might even lead to future career opportunities.
