John Pal awarded for teaching excellence

Congratulations to Manchester Business School’s Senior Lecturer in Retailing, John Pal, who has been awarded a Teaching Excellence Award 2014 by the University of Manchester.

The annual Awards recognise University teaching colleagues who have demonstrated a significant and sustained commitment to excellence in teaching, learning and the student experience over recent years.

John was commended for promoting and enhancing the student experience and raising the profile of teaching excellence at MBS and the University of Manchester, and for showing a commitment to ongoing professional development.

He will receive a grant of £5000 grant that he can use over a period three years to develop his teaching or career. John will receive his award at a ceremony in May with University Vice-President, Professor Clive Agnew, and Associate Vice-President for Teaching, Learning and Students, Professor Kersti Börjars.

John teaches on both undergraduate and master’s programmes at MBS.
