Winter holiday has come and gone. I wish you all a Happy New Year and best of luck with your renewed set of resolutions.
As usual, I spent my Xmas and NYE in Sibiu, Romania, with my family and dearest friends. We’ve luckily had another success at carolling, when on Xmas Eve we did not only go to each of our houses but also to our high-school professors’ homes. It truly felt like a reunion and I took a picture to make sure the memory stays with us now and forever, just as we do every single year.
This was followed by the birthday party of one of my friends where again, the same group of people ended up attending. Last but not least, we had the New Year to celebrate and, as ‘tradition’ dictates, we made a reservation in one of our favourite pubs in the town to celebrate it together.
The night went smoothly and we happily entered the New Year. My main resolutions for the year include a couple of activities such as getting out of the continent for a couple of weeks and skydiving. As I keep writing for the blog, I hope both of these will be noted amongst others.
In addition, this winter I went back to snowboarding in the mountains. It was a delight to see that I can build on what I learnt last year, though it all came at a price: some nasty bruises on my knees. Unfortunately, I do not foresee going again this year as I am aiming for some sunny destinations to visit soon enough.
Finally, since I returned to London, I have taken full advantage of the sales (I already bought a bright blue coat and a lovely white handbag) and am now waiting to get back to work. More about that in my next article…
