Manchester Business School’s International MBA Football Challenge kicks-off for the third year running on Friday 21 February.

Members of the MBA sports committee have been working tirelessly to organise the event, which brings together MBA students from seven international business schools for a weekend of sporting action and entertainment. In addition to MBS, other schools participating in the events are Cambridge, Oxford, Warwick, Cass, IESE (Spain), IE (Spain), TiasNimbas (Netherlands).

Yash Motani, MBA Class of 2015 and Vice President for Sports said: “”The IFC has been scaled up considerably this year. There are eight participating teams, and for the first time we have international teams coming to Manchester. In addition to taking them to Old Trafford, we have the welcome event at National Football Museum. The aim is to give the teams a complete football experience in the city, while social events give them an opportunity to network.”

Supported by the Manchester FA, the tournament will kick off with a welcome session at the National Football Museum.

Spectators are invited to come and cheer on the Manchester team with matches taking place at Broughton Park FC Club, Chorlton from 9am – 3pm on Saturday 22 February and from 9am – 2pm on Sunday 23 February.
