Inspirational entrepreneur Vikas Shah accepts Honorary Professorship from Alliance Manchester Business School

Multi-award winning entrepreneur and international business icon, Vikas Shah, has accepted a prestigious honorary professorship from Alliance Manchester Business School.

Among his many notable achievements, Professor Shah has built businesses in diverse sectors across the world for almost 20 years, such as management consultancy Thought Economics and property investment company While It’s Free. His senior positions include CEO of film company Fifty Three Degrees North, and managing director of leading commodities and textiles trader Swiscot Group.

A respected leader in the business community, Professor Shah sits on the Digital Advisory Board of The British Council and the government’s UK Industrial Development Board, as well as holding a seat on Alliance Manchester Business School’s Advisory Board.

In his newly awarded role, Professor Shah will provide his expert advice to students and staff of the business school.

Professor Vikas Shah, Honorary Professor at Alliance Manchester Business School, said: “I’m immensely proud and humbled to receive an honorary professorship from Alliance Manchester Business School, one of the world’s leading institutions. I was previously a student at the business school and remember the sense of purpose that Alliance MBS imbued in me when I attended.

“As an honorary professor at AMBS, I will be getting even more closely involved with many aspects of the school including teaching and guest lecturing in Manchester and at centres around the world.  I will be developing entrepreneurship programmes, engaging the school with entrepreneurs globally and working closely with students as mentor and advisor to help them succeed.  I will also be providing commentary and opinion through AMBS on many aspects of the complex business world we live in.”
