Sky News’ Ian King Live broadcast from Alliance MBS

Alliance Manchester Business School was the proud host of the Sky News Ian King Live programme earlier this week.

Ian, a member of the School’s Advisory Board and an alumnus of the University of Manchester, interviewed a number of key figures to discuss the important work the School is doing with local businesses and the strong growth in applications to study at the School and University.

Guests included Greater Manchester Mayor, Andy Burnham who spoke about the current political landscape affecting businesses in the North.

Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, President and Vice-Chancellor at the University was interviewed alongside Nisha Katona, Founder of Mowgli Street Food and Jonathan Patterson, MD, DWF Ventures.

Henri Murison, Director, Northern Powerhouse Partnership and Tricia Williams, Chief Operating Officer of Manchester Airport discussed whether the Northern Powerhouse has stalled in the last five years.

Students Leah Petr, MBA Class President, MSc student Sharon Canas and BSc student Elina Khaybullina also spoke to Ian about why they chose to study here at Alliance MBS and their career prospects.

The programme took place in the School’s Café 65, named after the year the School was founded in 1965.
