Each session is facilitated by leading business experts and researchers with a wealth of experience in delivering Executive Education programmes to business professionals.
Programme offers long-term benefits for individuals, organisations and communities and promotes a lifelong connection with Alliance MBS.
This programme is ideal for you if you have reached a point in your career when you need to be much more effective in managing teams and processes.
You may be:
- Transitioning from a supervisory role to general management
- Broadening your role within the organisation
- Looking to build your confidence and knowledge of wider management issues
- Taking on people management for the first time
- Moving into a different part of an organisation
The programme is equally appropriate if you are an experienced manager who already has general management responsibilities, but needs to deepen your understanding of business processes with which you are less familiar.
The five day course is focused on accelerated learning covering the three most important issues for your success at work: Leadership, Strategy and Commercial Excellence. It’s all about working out when to work at the coal-face versus stand back; when to accept and implement direction from above, and when to challenge and create your own vision.
From looking at the best strategies for influencing and persuading to giving you time for reflection and planning, the Manchester Management Development Programme will equip you with the confidence to take on a wide range of business issues.

Opportunity to Shine (OTS)
Every delegate will work with a line manager on how your experience from the programme can be brought back into the organisation. You will develop this into a piece of work highlighting any challenges you want to overcome, any personal ambitions you want to realise and finally what you want to achieve for your organisation – this is called an Opportunity to Shine.
Everyone will identify and work with an internal mentor from your organisation – helping to bridge the gap between the insights and ideas explored during the programme and the reality of embedding and driving sustainable change when you get back.
