Helen Tither

Helen has worked in TV documentaries for 14 years, winning a BAFTA in 2012 for her work on CBBC documentary My Life: Me, My Dad & His Kidney, and working on series including Educating Yorkshire.

She has written, produced and directed three of her own documentaries for the BBC including Emmeline Pankhurst: The Making of a Militant (BBC1) which was also played at the unveiling of the Emmeline statue in Manchester.

Her new company is currently in production with The Corinthians: We Were The Champions, a film telling the amazing true story of the 'finest female football team that time forgot'.

Prior to her career in TV, Helen was a reporter and Women's Editor at the Manchester Evening News.
