 Entry requirements for BSc AccountingEntry requirements for all other Alliance MBS degree courses:
GCSE or equivalent GCSE at Grade A in Maths (you will require a Grade 7 in the newly reformed GCSEs in England) plus GCSE at Grade B in English Language (you will require a Grade 6 in the newly reformed GCSEs in England.) Applied Maths e.g. WJEC Mathematics - Numeracy is not accepted. GCSE at Grade B in Maths and English Language (you will require a Grade 6 in the newly reformed GCSEs in England.) Applied Maths e.g. WJEC Mathematics - Numeracy is not accepted.
GCE A-level Grades AAA. General Studies is normally accepted if one of four A-levels passed in the same sitting. Critical Thinking is not accepted. Three AS-Levels accepted in place of one A-Level if all taken in Year 13. Grades AAB. General Studies is normally accepted if one of four A-levels passed in the same sitting. Critical Thinking is not accepted. Three AS-Levels accepted in place of one A-Level if all taken in Year 13.
International Baccalaureate (IB)

2017 Entry: 35 points overall with 6,6,6 in Higher Level subjects plus no less than 6 for Standard Level Maths and 5 for Standard Level English / English Language & Literature. Maths Studies and English Literature are not accepted.

2018 Entry: 37 points overall with 6,6,6 in Higher Level subjects plus no less than 6 for Standard Level Maths and 5 for Standard Level English / English Language & Literature. Maths Studies and English Literature are not accepted.

2017 Entry: 33 points overall with 6,6,5 in Higher Level subjects plus no less than 5 for Standard Level Maths and English / English Language & Literature. Maths Studies and English Literature are not accepted.

2018 Entry: 35 points overall with 6,6,5 in Higher Level subjects plus no less than 5 for Standard Level Maths and English / English Language & Literature. We accept Maths, Maths Studies (not accepted for BSc Accounting or BSc International Business, Finance and Economics), Language A: English Language and Literature and Language B: English. Language A: Literature is not accepted.

BTEC Level 3 Qualifications

BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma

We consider the National Extended Diploma for entry provided it is in a subject relevant to the chosen course. Entry requirements are based on achievement of the full D*D*D*.

BTEC Level 3 National Diploma

We consider the National Diploma for entry provided it is in a subject relevant to the chosen course. Entry requirements are based on achievement of the full BTEC National Diploma at D*D* plus grade A at A-level.

BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate

We consider the National Extended Certificate for entry provided it is in a subject relevant to the chosen course.  Entry requirements are based on achievement of the full BTEC National Extended Certificate at D* plus grades AA at A-level. 

The subject of your BTEC will be taken into consideration when making a decision on your offer.  We will not accept A-level General Studies.

BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma

We consider the National Extended Diploma for entry provided it is in a subject relevant to the chosen course. Entry requirements are based on achievement of the full D*D*D.

BTEC Level 3 National Diploma

We consider the National Diploma for entry provided it is in a subject relevant to the chosen course. Entry requirements are based on achievement of the full BTEC National Diploma at D*D plus grade B at A-level.

BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate

We consider the National Extended Certificate for entry provided it is in a subject relevant to the chosen course.  Entry requirements are based on achievement of the full BTEC National Extended Certificate at D* plus grades AB at A-level. 

The subject of your BTEC will be taken into consideration when making a decision on your offer.  We will not accept A-level General Studies.

Access to Higher Education 60 credits are required with 45 credits at Level 3 with Distinction. 60 credits are required with 45 credits at Level 3. Of those at Level 3, a minimum of 30 credits with Distinction and 15 credits with Merit.
