Exam results and planning ahead for the summer

I was surprised to see how packed the Alan Gilbert Learning Commons was during the weekend after our exam results had been released. I guess some people wanted to maintain momentum, whilst others were determined to do better for their future assessments. I was extremely happy with the results I obtained, which pushed my average up towards a first class. A mixture of luck and preparation is indeed needed in third year, as exam questions are highly unpredictable compared to what, I personally think, they were in the two previous years. Hence, I have already started to make revision notes for May/June.

This has been an extremely slow month in my opinion. Long story short: I lost my Swedish driving license on a night out in my first year; couldn’t get it replaced in Sweden as I am registered as an abroad resident; had to exchange my Swedish driving license for British one; and haven’t been able to find a 3-week window to send my passport away to DVLA for approval until now. Despite the city’s many amusements that do not have any age restrictions, a night out after a long week of lectures and seminars is sometimes needed.
