The recent publication of the independent Brydon review into the quality and effectiveness of the UK audit market followed a period of intense political and economic debate over the future of the industry. Academics from our Accounting and Finance division have played a major role in contributing to this debate in recent times, and here we highlight their contributions.
- Professor Chris Humphrey from Accounting & Finance Division has given an interview to Accountancy Age about the future of UK Audit. Professor Humphrey was the only academic on the advisory panel of the 2019 Brydon Independent review into the quality and effectiveness of Audit and also gave evidence to the BEIS Commons Select Committee during their future of audit inquiry last year.
